That! Dance is an inclusive community dance organisation based in Staffordshire. We work with young people and adults aged 16-30 with a range of needs and who all love to dance!
Our sessions are creative, fun and focus on building dance technique, confidence and performance skills. We are project-based, working towards new performances, dance films and events each term.
That! Dance is an inclusive community dance organisation for young adults aged 16-30, with groups running in Lichfield and Burton-upon-Trent. We formed in 2021 for âCritical Massâ, a mass movement project which saw 150+ disabled and non-disabled individuals take part in performances at:

Following a year of moving together, performing in front of thousands of people in person and on TV, our participants decided they wanted to keep dancing and creating and so, âThat! Danceâ was born. The groups have continued to grow, with new members joining from across Staffordshire. The groups meet weekly in Lichfield and Burton, with sessions focusing on dance technique, creative skills and choreography.
We are a project-based company, with groups working towards live performances across the Midlands, creating dance films or being part of community events, including exhibitions and festivals. We take a fun and joyful approach in everything we do and believe that dance has the power to make a big difference in everyoneâs lives!
FOREST
'FOREST' explores our connection to nature and green spaces around us. The film seeks to answer 3 main questions: how are we connected to the Forest, how has the Forest changed throughout history and what can we do to keep our green spaces green for the future? âFORESTâ has been generously supported by The National Forest.
